Following a successful return to the world of apprentices last year, we’re pleased to announce that we’ve taken on two new apprentices.
Lewis Church (22) and Ray Urry (17) began with us on 10th September as part of their NVQ in Plastering with City College Norwich.
Having traditionally focused on commercial interior fit outs, the launch of our new division, GYC Dry Lining and Plastering which specialises in domestic interiors, has created a need for fresh faces to join our expanding business. This division works with housing developers on interior finishing. As such, plastering was an area we needed more skilled staff.
We’ve quickly become strong supporters of apprenticeships as a way to give young people a great opportunity, and a way for us to find new, skilled people who, we hope, will join our team for a successful future in the industry.
We’ll be giving Lewis and Ray all the support we can to develop their skills and succeed in gaining their NVQs.
