It has been well documented that in a work environment, excess noise can increase stress levels and reduce productivity. Both things we’d like to avoid.
The good news is that there are some fairly simple ways to help reduce unwanted noise and reverberation. These can be included as part of a new build or commercial renovation project. Alternatively, they can be retrofitted to commercial interiors without causing significant disruption.
Reducing unwanted noise
We have significant experience in sourcing, positioning and installing special ceiling acoustic baffles and acoustic panels within commercial, leisure and retail spaces.
We’ve also worked with lots of schools in Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex and Cambridgeshire on reducing noise within classrooms, school halls and sports halls. As a result, we understand the importance of hitting deadlines to get this work completed outside of term time.
Ceiling acoustic baffles are one of the most effective ways to reduce reverberation and noise. Both sides of the baffles are exposed to the room. This gives increased surface area for sound absorption. These properties make them great for large, communal spaces like swimming pools, gyms, cafeterias, restaurants and large, open plan reception areas.
Take a look at our case study on the new council offices in Lowestoft to see acoustic baffles in use.
Acoustic panels can be fitted to walls or ceilings to help absorb unwanted noise. Available in a wide range of colours, shapes and finishes, they can be cleverly used as part of the decor! We can even print them with an image of your choice – check out our Brancaster Sailing Club case study.
