Working on Essential Projects During Lockdown

Who would have expected at the beginning of the year that a few months later, we’d all be thrown into a strange new world of lockdowns, social distancing and home schooling? We’ve been working hard to keep our team safe, whilst continuing to work on a number of essential projects, so we thought we’d share…

Manningtree High School Renovation

We were recently involved in a renovation project at Manningtree High School. We were working on the new dining hall. We used insulated Koolthem K18 plasterboard tacked to the timber soffit, and dot and dabbed to external walls. The ceilings are by Ecophon.

Acoustic Soundproofing for Schools

Acoustics in schools has been a growing area of business for us. There have been numerous studies over the past 30 years or so into the relationship between noise exposure and performance. We won’t go into detail here, but suffice to say (and perhaps unsurprisingly), unwanted noise in educational environments generally has a detrimental effect.…

We’ve just completed a small project for NCL Contractors to reduce reverberation at busy times in the Whitehouse dining room at Aurora Eccles School in Quidenham, Norfolk. We supplied and installed Soundhush Shushliner acoustic wall panels which were custom made to cover the maximum surface area. This should make a big difference to the environment, making…
