We are proud as punch of our colleague, Alex, who has just achieved his Level 3 Diploma in Occupational Work Supervision (Construction). This makes him our youngest members to hold such a high supervisory certificate.
Alex joined Great Yarmouth Ceilings in 2013, when he was 18, as a trainee Ceiling Fixer. The only qualification Alex had when he joined us was his driving licence.
Since then, Alex has become an integral and hard-working member of the Great Yarmouth Ceilings team. He now has a staggering number of qualifications and skills to his name:
- Trained in Suspended Ceilings, Partitions, Metal Stud, Dry Lining, Glazed Partitions and Plastering
- Completed all relevant CSCS
- Pasma
- IPAF
- Asbestos Awareness
- NVQ 1, 2 and 3
- Steps and Ladders training
- Health and Safety Awareness
- First Aid training
- SSSTS
- Manual Handling
He’s also trained up his own apprentice, Jack Howard, who has also completed his NVQ 2 alongside Alex.
Under the guidance of the Office Manager, Glynis Adams and our Contracts Manager, Nick Mason, Alex has been overseeing many alterations and refurbishments at the Norfolk & Norwich hospital for Serco for over two years. Stuart Adams, Managing Director, is very proud of Alex and Nick for all their hard work and continued progress on this project.
Alex is a very active member of our fixers team and always encourages our other site operatives to get involved in activities outside of work including 5-a-side football, paintballing and go karting.
Great Yarmouth Ceilings are really proud of how far Alex has come in the time that he has been with us, and we wanted to take this opportunity to say a huge congratulations on another amazing achievement!
