Dry lining is a major component of any modern housing development. It can be used in every room of the house for walls and ceilings. We can install dry lining and partitioning systems ranging from direct fix plasterboard to metal stud walls in any domestic situation.
Our dry lining work
- Metal stud
- Dot and dab
- Moisture resistant options for bathrooms and kitchens
- Acoustic partitioning
- Fire protection.
Depending on the building’s walls or frame, we can use dabbing or screwing to fix the dry lining plasterboard in place. We use jointing tape to make smooth joins between the boards. We use jointing compound to smooth over any recessed screws or indentation between joints. If required, we can finish with a smooth plaster skim or taping and jointing. Whichever method is appropriate to your build, we will not leave until the finish is perfectly smooth and ready for decorating.
We source our dry lining products from industry-leading manufacturers to ensure a long-lasting, quality result.
What is dry lining?
Dry lining is a type of finishing or cladding for internal walls and ceilings. Plasterboard is used in place of a traditional plaster finish.
It’s quick to apply, provides a naturally smooth surface and can be easily prepared for decorating. It can also increase thermal insulation and prevent condensation.
Dry lining creates a flexible, adaptable space that serves the changing needs of the family as it grows – future structural alterations are relatively painless.
